Only One is a cooperative serious game that deals with a
conflict at the player-player level, as well as a conflict within
a person suffering from a dissociative personality disorder.

Two players each play a personality of the protagonist. As
they share a body, only one personality has a turn and can
actively control the person‘s actions.
By completing their own tasks, both player personalities try
to gain the upper hand over the playable character, or rather
their body, and thus become the sole ruling personality in
the body.
The character is controlled in a turn-based manner: The
player whose turn it is not is a limited observer of the other
player. While this inactive personality watches the action
from a distanced perspective, they can deliberately disrupt
and manipulate the opponent in their tasks.
While their own personality is active and in control of the
body, their goal is to complete their tasks as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, the inactive personality may try to prevent
the other from seeing essential clues and objects.

Game Play
The game is turn-based: Only one player at a time
can actively control the playable character and
must complete their tasks. While waiting for their
turn, the other player can take various actions to
interfere with the other player‘s tasks. A certain
event could also trigger the involuntary appearance
of the character whose turn it is not. The aim is
to complete all your tasks first before your
opponent does.

Game world
In a steampunk world shaken by war, a flying infirmary
navigates the skies to provide vital medical
aid in the embattled regions. It treats civilians
as well as soldiers from both the allied and enemy
countries. As the infirmary shuttles between conflict-
ridden cities, the crew struggles not only to
treat the wounded but also to deal with internal
conflicts that threaten the mission and the survival
of all on board.

Characters
The main character Charlotte Darrow is a young
woman in her early 20s who works as a nurse in a
hospitalzeplin. Charlotte is empathetic, introverted
and in need of harmony. Her sensitivity makes her
particularly attentive to the needs of others, but her
tendency towards indecision can make her hesitate
in difficult situations. She also suffers from feelings
of guilt as she bears responsibility for the death of
her family, but her inner self harbors a hidden conflict
as she shares her body with a second personality
- Victor Hale, a cool and determined soldier.
While Charlotte seeks harmony and the well-being
of her patients, Victor pursues secret, potentially
dangerous plans.
